The Vietnamese electric carmaker VinFast will finally be launching its much-anticipated 7-seater VF MPV 7 in India today. It will be the brand’s third product in India after the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs. Pre-bookings of the VF MPV 7 have already commenced since April 2 with a token amount of Rs 21,000. Today, the company will be officially revealing the pricing of this MPV.

As per the speculations, the VinFast VF MPV 7 will be launched in the price range of Rs 18 lakh to Rs 24 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the likes of the Kia Carens Clavis EV and BYD eMax7 and also serve as an alternative to Mahindra XEV 9S, which is one of the most popular 7-seater EVs in the market currently.
Dimensions and design

In terms of the dimensions, the VinFast VF MPV 7 will measure 4,740 mm in length, 1,872 mm in width, and its height will be 1,734 mm. It will also boast a long wheelbase of 2,840 mm. When compared to its rivals, the VF MPV 7 is longer than its primary rivals. As for the design, this MPV features the signature VinFast styling, a full-width LED DRL bar integrated with the VinFast logo at the front.

It will also get a split headlamp setup with DRLs on top and the main headlamps positioned lower. Overall, the front fascia of this MPV looks very clean and futuristic. On the sides, it gets pull-type door handles, 19-inch alloy wheels, and clean surfacing. As for the rear, it gets a connected LED light bar matching the front design. It also gets a simple rear bumper. The color options of the VinFast VF MPV 7 will include Infinity Blanc, Jet Black, Solar Ruby, Zenith Grey, Moonlit Ocean, and Introspective Brown.
Interior design and features

Like the VF6 and VF7, the new VinFast VF MPV 7 will feature a minimalistic and futuristic cabin. It will have very few physical buttons. The dashboard will be dominated by a floating touchscreen infotainment system, a small steering wheel, a drive selector mounted on the steering column, and steering-mounted buttons.
The VF MPV 7 will offer a 2+3+2 seating configuration, and the interior theme will be black and brown. Notable highlights will include a floating centre console, large storage space, leatherette upholstery, a height-adjustable driver seat, tilt and telescopic steering, keyless entry, ambient lighting, regenerative braking modes, and driving modes including Eco, Normal, and Sport.

Safety features of the VF MPV 7 will include multiple airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), hill start assist, brake assist, and all-disc brakes, along with an electronic parking brake with auto hold.
Battery pack and powertrain

Coming to the main highlight of the VinFast VF MPV 7, it will be its battery capacity: a 60 kWh battery pack offering a range of 450 to 500 km. The MPV will also feature a front-mounted motor producing 201 bhp and 280 Nm of torque. It will be a front-wheel drive, which, despite being a heavy EV MPV, will be able to reach from 0-100 kmph in just 10 seconds.
It will also support 11 kW AC charging and 80 kW DC fast charging. With the DC fast charger, it will reach from 10 to 70 percent in just 30 minutes.
