Hyundai Motor India Limited has slipped down to fourth position on the list of top-selling car brands in India. And to make sure that it does not slip any further and instead claim back the second spot, the company is gearing up for the launch of not one or two new products but rather four new models for the Indian automotive market. So, without any delay, here are the details of the four new Hyundai cars that will be launched in India very soon.
New generation Hyundai Creta - Segment champion to get even better

The Hyundai Creta has been the mid-size SUV segment champion for a long time now, and to continue its dominance, a new-generation model is being developed. This new model will be making its debut either by the end of 2026 or by early 2027. It will be based on the new K3 platform and will grow a lot in terms of size and will also become stronger and safer.
In terms of the design, the new-generation Creta will boast an Ioniq 5-inspired design. Its highlights will include pixel-style LED DRLs replacing the connected light bar, an aggressive front with a blacked-out central section, LED headlamps on the edges, an ADAS sensor and camera in the middle, chunky body cladding, and an off-road-inspired stance. It will also get new flush-type door handles and redesigned alloy wheels.
On the inside, the cabin will become more futuristic and advanced with new features. The list will include a steering wheel with the ‘four dots’ Hyundai logo, larger 12.3-inch screens, a panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats, connected car tech, ADAS Level 2, a 360-degree camera, and many others. Powertrain options of 1.5-litre NA and turbo and 1.5-litre diesel will remain the same. However, it could also get a new 1.5-litre strong hybrid powertrain as well. Pricing will be in the range of Rs 11-22 lakh.
Bayon-Based Compact SUV - Fronx rival

Codenamed BC4i, Hyundai is also working on the development of a new crossover SUV based on the internationally sold Bayon. This SUV will be rivalling the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, Nissan Magnite, and the Renault Kiger. It is expected to make its debut by the end of 2026.
On the outside, it will boast a rugged SUV design, a boxy and upright stance, a split headlamp setup, and a bold grille inspired by larger Hyundai SUVs. Other notable highlights will include roof rails, a shark-fin antenna, thick wheel arch cladding, and futuristic-looking alloy wheels. As for the rear, it will get a set of sleek LED tail lamps with a possible connecting LED bar in the middle.
Like other Hyundai cars, we can expect a premium cabin with a large touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, connected car tech, and possibly ADAS as well. There are reports that it will be getting a new engine, which will be a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine. It will also be ready to take on hybridisation. Transmission options could include a 6-speed manual, a 7-speed DCT, and an e-CVT (for hybrid). The lower variants could also get a 1.0L turbo petrol, which may be offered in lower variants. Pricing will be around Rs 8.5-14 lakh.
Hyundai Inster-based electric SUV - Affordable EV for mass market

Hyundai also wants to enter the mass-market electric vehicle segment in India, and for this, it is planning to launch an affordable electric SUV in the country. This micro-SUV will be based on the internationally sold Inster EV and will possibly make its debut by early 2027. It could be priced in the range of Rs 10-15 lakh and will rival the Tata Punch.ev and the Citroen eC3.
As per the reports, this SUV is being designed specifically for Indian market needs. It will be based on the E-GMP (K) platform and offer 42 kWh (300 km range) and 49 kWh (355 km range). On the outside, it will boast a clean EV-style front design, an upright stance, and practical dimensions similar to the Tata Punch.ev. Like all the other modern EVs, it will also come with a large touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and connected car tech.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift - New iteration of the premium EV

In the second half of this year, Hyundai will be taking the covers off the new Ioniq 5 electric SUV in India. In terms of the changes, we can expect subtle yet premium design changes, including revised front and rear bumpers and new alloy wheels. Reportedly, it will become 20 mm longer than the current model. And the rear updates will include the addition of a wiper and a larger roof spoiler.
On the inside, the new Ioniq 5 is expected to get a new three-spoke steering wheel, more physical buttons for key functions, a reworked centre console, a relocated wireless charger, updated infotainment with OTA updates, and revised graphics for the digital display.
A new 84 kWh battery pack, up from 72.6 kWh of the current model, is expected. The Indian Ioniq 5 will offer an RWD setup making 218 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. The 0-100 kmph sprint will take place in 7.5 seconds, and the new battery pack will offer a range of 570 km.
It will also support 350 kW DC fast charging, and 10 to 80 percent fast charging will take only 18 minutes. Once launched, it will rival the Kia EV6, BMW iX1 LWB, Volvo EX30, and the BYD Sealion 7. Pricing of the new Hyundai Ioniq 5 will be around Rs 47 to 50 lakh.
